We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join our team in Al-Ula and oversee all HSE aspects of our projects.
Job Summary:
The HSE Engineer will oversee the health, safety, and environmental aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role involves developing and implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- HSE Management: Oversee all health, safety, and environmental aspects of the project, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures that comply with local regulations and industry standards.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all project activities comply with HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Training and Education: Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into HSE incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation, including incident reports, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement in HSE performance through regular reviews and updates of HSE policies and procedures.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, on HSE matters.
- Environmental Management: Implement and monitor environmental management plans to minimize the project’s impact on the environment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Over 15 years of experience in HSE management within the construction industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP) are preferred.
Skills:
- Proven track record of managing HSE aspects for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in HSE management software and tools.
