We are currently seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team in Al-Ula and support our project scheduling and progress monitoring efforts.

Job Summary:

The Planning Engineer will assist in developing project schedules and monitoring progress. This role involves supporting project teams in maintaining timelines, identifying potential delays or issues, and ensuring that all project activities align with the overall project plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Development: Assist in creating detailed project schedules that outline all key milestones and deliverables.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress against the schedule, identifying any deviations and reporting them to project managers.
  • Support Project Teams: Work closely with project managers and teams to maintain timelines and ensure all project activities are aligned with the overall schedule.
  • Issue Identification: Identify potential delays or issues that could impact project timelines and propose solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and any areas of concern.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze project data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in project scheduling and execution.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with various project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project schedules, updates, and changes, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize project management software to create, update, and maintain project schedules.

Qualifications:

Experience: Over 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PSP) are preferred.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of assisting in the development and management of project schedules for large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
