Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will design and manage electrical systems within construction projects, ensuring they meet project requirements and safety standards. This role involves providing technical support and overseeing the installation and testing of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical System Design: Develop detailed electrical designs that meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical system installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, including junior engineers and technicians.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure electrical systems comply with project specifications and safety standards.
• System Testing: Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and fully operational.
• Compliance: Ensure all electrical engineering activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to electrical systems and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into the overall project design.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documents, including design drawings, specifications, and reports, maintaining accurate records of all electrical engineering activities.
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest developments in electrical engineering and incorporate new technologies and best practices into project designs.

Qualifications:

Experience: Over 15 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PE, CEng) are preferred.

Skills:

• Proven track record of designing and managing electrical systems for large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in electrical design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
